I serve as a docent at the Palm Springs Art Museum, one of the outstanding mid-size art museums in the country. The Kaplan Ostergaard Glass Center at the Museum houses a remarkable collection of glass art, exhibiting works from some of the world's most reknowned glass artists.
I'm happy to lead a tour of the museum of the Kaplan/Ostergaard Glass Center for you or your group. Schedule your visit by contacting the Glenn Wilhite at 760.322.4817 or via email to gwilhite@psmuseum.org.
Built and funded by the ACT Government, Canberra Glassworks is Australia's only cultural centre that is wholly dedicated to contemporary glass art.
Richard Whitely is a remarkable artist, friend, and teacher. He was my instructor at the famed Pilchuck Glass School, and I was honored to learn at his side. His graceful yet powerful glass sculptures are a wonderful examples of using light as an artistic medium. Enjoy his work.
Tamara Coatsworth has an uncommon talent for helping us see the commonplace in new ways, while evoking some of our fondest memories. Her work will make you smile, remember, and deeply appreciate the grace and beauty of things familiar.
During my time at Pilchuck Glass School I learned a great deal about light, elegant simplicity, and balance from Heike Brachlow. Her extraordinary work reflects her mastery of light and color.
Description: This site is a general resource about art made from glass. It includes extensive links lists for galleries, studios, museums, sources of information, events, organizations, publications, etc

Kandy Allen is a painter and bronze sculptor. We have recently collaborated on a sculpture in glass and natural stone.
Most of my artwork is inspired by nature; the sea, the natural geometry of the desert, or the spectacular light and color of sunset or sunrise. Many of my desert sunrise pieces were specifically inspired as I looked at the dawn sky above The Living Desert.
Please visit The Living Desert, and support their mission of desert conservation through preservation, education and appreciation.
Although inspiring artists is not their mission, they do it well.
